The history of the wine cellar has begun in 1905, when a part for wine storage was built. After that the pressing room was added. In this form you can see the wine cellar on the labels of our wines. In 1978 the cellar was rebuilt to its present form. In 2019 complete reconstruction of the winery was carried out, so that an independent apartman was created on the first floor and the wine production was moved from ground floor to downstairs. The pressing room and the wine storage were also paved.
The vineyard is growing on the land next to the cellar on the area of 18 ares. The original kinds of grapes from the beginning of the last century have been growing on one third of the land because the vineyard has never been completely grubbed up, but the vegetation was revived on the original root base. Thanks to that we have one of the oldest vineyards in Velké Bílovice and probably also in Moravia. Varieties like Blue Janek, Frašták, Grey Portugal, Othello or Bago can you see in present time very rare. That is why you can try in our winery varieties of grapes that you probably cannot find somewhere else.
We process all wines production ourselves. We produce about 10.000 bottles of wine every year. These wines are declared like Moravian regional wine and they are processed only by traditional method.
From the red wine varieties we produce Blue Portugal, Frankovka and Zweigeltrebe. From the white wine varieties we produce Sauvignon and Welschriesling. We also combine the several of wine cuvées of the grapes, which are not so often plant for today. These are mainly extra dry wines.
To refill our sortiment we buy grapes from our regional winegrowers. Of that grapes produce we mostly medium-dry and medium-sweet wines. These wines are already processed by modern method and only bottled to sell.
Selling outside of our wine cellar works on the wine festivals all around the Czech republic or is it possible to order wine in our e-shop.
